Support Vulnerable Muslim Women Campaign
Imam Hossein Cultural Centre of Ottawa in collaboration with Nisa Homes cordially invites you to this fundraising campaign to support the Muslim women fleeing abuse and homelessness in our beautiful city of Ottawa. This mission is done by providing a safe home to heal, support services to rebuild, an environment to explore cultural identity, and opportunities to flourish upon moving out into the community. To honour Eid al-Adha, you can take part in this philanthropic cause by kindly e-transferring your generous donations and sadaghat to campaign@imamhossein.ca from now till the day of Eid.
Nisa Homes is a non-government, not-for-profit charitable organisation that provides a safe haven and support services to women, children and families who are experiencing homelessness and/or domestic and family violence, poverty or seeking asylum. Calls for help at Nisa Homes have increased more than 3 times during the past year, and shelters in Ottawa have reported up to 70% of their residents were Muslim or refugee women. Nisa Homes Ottawa just opened in April 2021 as the 7th home in Canada and just after a week, it was full!
If you would like to receive a tax receipt from Nisa Homes for your donations over $25, please fill out this form.
