Arbaeen 2020

Dear friends!

It is to inform you that Imam Hossein Cultural Centre of Ottawa will be hosting a virtual ceremony in honor of Arbaeen of Imam Hossein(as) on Thursday, October 8^th, 2020 @7-9 pm.

The program will be including:

• •    Recitation of Dua Kumail and a selection of Dua Makarimul Akhlaq in Farsi 
  •    The honorable speaker, Father Christopher Clohessy’s sermon on “Lady Zaynab: A Role Model at Karbala” in English
  •   Recitation of Ziarat of Arbaeen and mourning ceremony

About Father Christopher Clohessy

• • • A South African-born Catholic priest
    • He is currently a resident faculty member of The Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies, lecturing in Shi‘i Islamic  studies, Qur’anic Studies, Islamic Ethics and Christian-Muslim dialogue, and is visiting lecturer at the Pontifical Beda College in Rome.
    • The author of “Faṭima, Daughter of Muḥammad”, and “Half of My Heart: the Narratives of Zaynab, Daughter of Ali”.
