Arbaeen 2023
Dear friends!
Imam Hossein Cultural Centre of Ottawa cordially invites you to join us as we commemorate the Arbaeen (40 days after martyrdom of Imam Hossein) on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Community Cultural Centre (CCC), located at 58 Antares Dr, Unit 8, Ottawa, ON K2E 7W6.
We’re honoured to have Father Christopher Clohessy as our guest speaker to give us a virtual lecture on “al-Abbas; the Water Carrier” and also we’ll have a special performance by the children in our community.
If you’d like to support this program, please e-transfer your donations to finance@imamhossein.ca with the message of “arbaeen”.
To attend the ceremony, please note that due to our venue capacity limit and in order to provide a safe environment for everyone, we would have to implement a limited registration policy for our guests. Hence, registration is mandatory and only those who have registered are allowed to attend. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.
Blood Donation Campaign
In collaboration with the Canadian Blood Services, we’re holding our annual blood donation campaign in honour of Imam Hossein on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 and Saturday, September 9, 2023. One hour of your time could save three lives. Check your eligibility to donate using this two-minute quiz.
Book your appointment today by following these steps (as shown in the attached image):
- Go to the Canadian Blood Services website or install the “GiveBlood” app on your phone.
- Log in to your account or create a new account.
- Select the “Partners” option from the bottom right corner of the page.
- Hit the “Join an Existing Team” link.
- Search for the name “Imam Hossein,” and select the IHCCO’s name.
- Press the “Yes” button, and then select “Join.”
- Choose one of the available dates and select your preferred time.
- Select the “Confirm” button.
