📣 Meeting Topic: Marriage with Non-Iranians
👨👩👧👦 Age Group: Youth and Adults
🎟️ Admission Fee: $5 (Payable at the door – all donated to the IHCCO)
Whether you or your children are at the age of choosing a spouse, living in Canada’s diverse society often presents the possibility of marrying outside your own cultural background. This meeting will address key questions related to marrying a non-Iranian and the realities that may come with it.
Some of the topics we’ll explore include:
– What are the advantages and challenges of interracial marriages, and how common are they in Canada?
– What advice is there for those in relationships with non-Iranians and planning to start a family?
– How should cultural differences be navigated?
– What is the best way to engage with both families in such relationships?
– What are the unique challenges and benefits of raising children in these families?
Join us for an engaging discussion with esteemed members of Ottawa’s Iranian community, including:
– Mrs. Arzoo Kashani
– Mr. Hamid Mehrvar
– Mrs. Ensieh Namazikhah
– And more…
Your presence and participation are highly encouraged as we collectively explore the challenges and opportunities inherent in the Canadian experience. We look forward to your thoughtful contributions to this enriching dialogue. Discussions are in Persian!
Please note that these meetings are intended for open discussion. While the views expressed by the speakers and attendees are highly appreciated, they are personal opinions and do not reflect the views of IHCCO as a whole.
