Muharram Programs 2024
Dear friends!
You are cordially invited to join IHCCO as we commemorate Imam Hossein (pbuh) in the coming Muharram as follows:
Date: Saturday, July 6 to Tuesday, July 16, 2024
Time: Every night from 6:45 pm to 9 pm (kids special program starts at 6:45pm; general program starts at 7:30pm)
Day of Ashura: Tuesday, July 16, 2024, 11 am to 2 pm
Venue: Community Cultural Centre (CCC), located at:
58 Antares Dr, Unit 8, Ottawa, ON K2E 7W6
Live broadcasting at live.imamhossein.ca (starts at 7:45pm)
The general program will include reciting Ziyarat Ashura, Farsi lecture by Mr. Mohammadhossein Rahimi with the topic of “Ashura: Life Lessons and Measures”, and mourning for Aba Abdullah (pbuh).

🍪 If you’d like to prepare Nazri for the attendees of a program, please coordinate beforehand via text at 613-434-3454.
♻️ We recycle during the Muharram events. Throwing items in the correct bins of the recycle units is highly appreciated.
Attending the Ceremony
The program will be broadcasted live on the IHCCO’s website. For in-person attendance, registration is not required for the initial nights. However, registration is mandatory for the final nights. The registration link will be posted later on IHCCO’s social media channels.

This year, we’re holding our annual blood donation campaign in honour of Imam Hossein on Saturday, July 13, 2024. One hour of your time could save three lives. Check your eligibility to donate with this two-minute quiz.
To register, create an account through the GiveBlood app, join the Imam Hossein Cultural Centre of Ottawa team on the Partners page, and select an available time slot to make an appointment. If you have any questions or encounter any issues during registration, please visit the centre’s office at the ceremony venue or send a message through the contact page.
