Final Report on Campaign of Reverence

This campaign served two different purposes: providing food to our homeless citizens in Ottawa, and providing support to underprivileged rural people in Khoozestan province of Iran.

During Muharram programs, the campaign was announced and the total amount of $605 donations was gathered, plus $490 donations were collected as a matter of preparing and selling homemade Halim at one of our programs. In total, $1095 was gathered for this campaign.

Ottawa Chapter

As it was reported before, the wonderful children in our community learned more about how our beloved Prophet Mohammad cared so much about all other people and acted with kindness towards them, no matter of their race, skin colour and social status. Then, they crafted cards with kind messages and cheerful decorations. On the death anniversary of Prophet Mohammad and approaching the Thanksgiving Day, our amazing volunteers cooked chicken kabob meals using 15% of your generous donations to this campaign. Thanks to the Nisa Homes for their sincere cooperation, the warm meals along with children’s cards were distributed on behalf of the Muslim Canadian-Iranian community among homeless and needy families covered by this lovely charity organization in Ottawa. The photo album of this campaign in Ottawa can be seen in our Facebook group.

Iran Chapter

The rest of donations was matched by IT companies and a total amount of $1860 was transferred to the Paradise Charity Group. Until the time these transferred donations arrived Iran by this charity organization, the COVID urgency conditions in Iran were reduced significantly. Therefore, it was decided to use this fund to purchase medications by the Farzandan-e Zahra Charity (a local charity working with the Paradise Charity Group) for underprivileged people in villages around the city of Shadgan in Khoozestan province of Iran. These medications were handed to the volunteer medical doctors treating the people for free in that region to use them for the local people. It is worth mentioning that the drug company from which these medications were brought also decided to donate a significant number of medications as part of their contribution to this philanthropical campaign.

God bless you for all your wonderful deeds!
