Birth of Prophet Mohammad & Imam Sadegh, “Toy Drive for CHEO”

فرارسیدن میلاد فرخنده پیامبر اکرم (ص) و امام جعفر صادق (ع) را پیشاپیش به همه هموطنان عزیز تبریک عرض می نماییم. به همین مناسبت مرکز فرهنگی امام حسین (ع) اتاوا مراسم جشنی برگزار می نماید.

در این برنامه، علاوه بر اجرای برنامه های مفرح برای خانواده ها، برندگان مسابقات عکاسی طبیعت گردی و جام فیفا نیز جوایز خود را دریافت خواهند کرد و کودکان نیز از برنامه های سرگرمی بهره خواهند برد. شرکت در این برنامه رایگان است.

کمپین اهدای اسباب بازی به کودکان و نوجوانان تحت درمان در بیمارستان CHEO:
مرکز فرهنگی امام حسین(ع) اتاوا با همکاری بنیاد «چیو»، از شما همراهان نیک اندیش دعوت می کند تا در روز جشن میلاد پیامبرِ همواره مهربان با کوچکترها، با اهدای اسباب بازی و یا کمک نقدی، برکت و شادی عید ربیع را به کودکان و نوجوانان تحت درمان در بیمارستان «چیو» نیز برسانید. کافی است با انتخاب و خرید یک یا چند آیتم از لیستی که در لینک زیر فراهم شده است، آنها را با خود به جشن بیاورید. همچنین می توانید کمک های نقدی خود را در روز جشن به مرکز تحویل داده تا آنها را به «چیو» برسانیم.

Every year the Muslim Iranian-Canadian community of Ottawa gather with each other to celebrate the birth of their prophet, who was the messenger of peace, caring, and well-being. And also, the birth of one of their significant religious leaders, the great grandson of the prophet, with whom the pure teachings of Islam and knowledge of life were spread. Music, prayers, singing, games, prizes and foods are offered as part of the celebration in this event. In addition, the community encourages to act on a humanitarian action in the local town based on their beliefs.

This year, we’ve decided to run a toy collecting drive for the fellow kids at CHEO. Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) was very caring to kids, kissed them and encouraged the parents to do so as well, played with them and tried to make them happy, guided toward their physical and spiritual health, said hi to them and respected them in public, and even paid attention to their needs during congregational prayers. As CHEO is actively taking care of our younger ones when they’re desperate and in need, we’re planning to give back and provide new toys and donations as gifts from our community to this wonderful hospital at this blessing occasion. We’re so lucky and thankful to have CHEO in our town.

We are honored to gather and commemorate the jubilant birth of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and Imam Sadegh (pbuh), filled with fun, food, and entertainment for the whole family. Attendance is FREE and the programs are in Farsi. Join us to celebrate!

😷 For infection prevention purposes, only NEW, UNUSED, UNWRAPPED items in ORIGINAL packaging will be accepted; shouldn’t contain LATEX; also no personal notes and handmade crafts.
🛍 At the time of purchasing your generous gifts, please consider that patients at CHEO are not only small kids as their range is from infancy to 18 years of age.
💰 Financial donations are also accepted at the event. Donations of $20 or more are eligible for an official income tax receipt from CHEO.
🧸 CHEO Bear will also attend the event and you can have a chance of taking a photo with him.

– Each year, CHEO helps over 500,000 patients.
– CHEO’s Emergency Department is one of the busiest in Ontario – in addition to being #1.
– Last year 72,428 patients were treated in the ER.
– CHEO’s number of teen patients has increased 66% since 2009.
