Join the Cultural–Humanitarian Project “For Iran”
Dear friends,
As you may know, during this year’s Laylat al-Qadr ceremonies, the IHCCO organized a food basket campaign for Sistan and Baluchestan. We sincerely thank the 29 families whose trust and generosity helped raise $4,500. With corporate donation matching contributions, the total reached $9,000, which has been allocated to Paradise Charity to distribute essential food packages and hot meals in underprivileged communities. A detailed report will be shared once the program is implemented.
In continue, the Imam Hossein Cultural Centre of Ottawa (IHCCO) warmly invites all caring and community-minded Iranians to take part in the cultural–humanitarian initiative “For Iran.”
In recent months, the loss of many beloved compatriots has brought deep sorrow to our hearts. We honor their memory and hope that the shadow of war lifts from our homeland, that Iran soon sees peace and renewal, that our people are freed from injustice within the country, and that foreign aggression ceases.
This cultural centre is fully independent and has no political affiliation or alignment with any party or government, nor are such activities part of its mission. Moreover, in the current wartime conditions, influencing government decisions is not realistically possible. What we can do is fulfill our human and cultural responsibilities. We believe the true wealth of the country lies in its people and its culture, and safeguarding this precious heritage is a shared duty.
“For Iran” is an inclusive, community-driven effort to care for one another and to carry out small but meaningful actions that support civilian Iranians and preserve our cultural heritage.
Through empathy and collaboration, we aim to:
🔸 Strengthen human connections and support one another through encouragement, hope, and ongoing communication
🔸 Support people in Iran through scientific, humanitarian, and livelihood assistance within our collective capacity
🔸 Keep our culture, arts, and shared memories alive, and document and preserve Iran’s historical and cultural heritage
🔸 Foster solidarity and shared responsibility through volunteer participation across all age groups, from children to seniors
The project will move forward through regular, collaborative gatherings where planned actions are collectively reviewed and carried out. These meetings provide opportunities to discuss the initial framework, refine ideas, brainstorm together, and volunteer for different parts of the initiative.
You are warmly invited to attend the first coordination meeting:
🔹 Time: Sunday, March 22, 2026 | 4 PM – 6 PM
🔹 Location: Community Cultural Centre (CCC), located at:
Unit 8, 58 Antares Dr, Ottawa, ON K2E 7W6
Your presence and participation will help turn our shared concerns into meaningful and lasting humanitarian action.
We invite all compatriots to contribute -whatever time, skills, or expertise they can offer- to this cultural, humanitarian and non-political effort.
Together—for Iran, for its people, for its culture, for its future.
