Eid al-Fitr Prayer

Dear friends,

Hoping that you have had a blessed Ramadan, IHCCO invites you to join us as we hold the Eid al-Fitr congregational prayer in two sessions on Monday, March 31, 2025 (which is most likely going to be the day of Eid) followed by breakfast at the Community Cultural Centre (CCC) located at 58 Antares Dr, Unit 8, Ottawa, ON K2E 7W6. The hourly schedule of the program is as following:

• 8:30 AM, Eid prayer (first session)
• 9:15 AM, takeout breakfast
• 9:30 AM, Eid prayer (second session)
• 10:15 AM, dine-in breakfast

Children’s Green Aid Campaign for Eid

For those of you who would like to donate your Sadaghat, Zakat or Kaffarah to help a number of underprivileged families and children in Iran, kindly e-transfer them to campaign@imamhossein.ca. We will then take care of transferring them to Emad House, a trusted Iranian NGO supporting children suffering from severe diseases whose families brave living away from their home for the treatment process. Our effort, as always, is to have some Canadian companies match donations.

Please make sure to clarify the category of amounts (Sadaghah, Zakat, Kaffarah, or Sadat Zakat) in the e-transfer message so that we could put the money to work the right way.

The amount of Zakat is equivalent to the value of three kilograms of staple food (such as bread, rice, dates, etc.), which each person should calculate based on their daily diet. The Kaffarah is equivalent to the value of 750 grams of food (bread or rice). The suggested amount for Zakat is $12, and for Kaffarah it is $6.
