Eid al-Fitr Prayer
Dear friends,
We hope you had a blessed Ramadan. IHCCO warmly invites you to join us for Eid al-Fitr congregational prayer on Friday, March 20, 2026 (likely Eid), followed by breakfast at the Community Cultural Centre (CCC), located at 58 Antares Dr, Unit 8, Ottawa.
Schedule
8:30 AM – Eid prayer
9:15 AM – Breakfast
10:00 AM – Children’s New Year program
New Year Moment (Nowruz)
As the exact moment of the New Year (Spring equinox) falls at 10:46 AM on Friday this year, we plan to prepare a small Haft-Seen table with the help of our children after the Eid prayer and breakfast. We will gather together and, in this special moment, offer our prayers to God in the pure and sincere voices of our children.
Children’s Green Aid Campaign for Eid
If you would like to donate your Sadaqah, Zakat, or Kaffarah to support underprivileged families and children in Iran, please e-transfer to campaign@imamhossein.ca by Sunday, March 22, 2026. Funds will be sent to Emad House, a trusted NGO supporting children with serious illnesses and their families during treatment. We are also working to secure matching donations from Canadian companies.
Please indicate the type of donation (Sadaqah, Zakat, Kaffarah, or Sadat Zakat) in your e-transfer message so we can allocate the funds appropriately.
Zakat is based on the value of approximately 3 kg of staple food (such as rice, bread, or dates), calculated according to your diet. Fidyah is based on 750 g of food (bread or rice). Suggested amounts: $12 for Zakat Fitrah per person and $6 for Fidyah (aka Kaffarah for excused absences) per day.
