IHCCO Cultural Courses in Fall 2024

Dear friends,

It is to inform that the Imam Hossein Cultural Centre of Ottawa (IHCCO) offers the following cultural courses in Fall 2024, from mid-Oct to mid-Dec, held online or at the Community Cultural Centre (CCC) – please note the start date and number of sessions for each course as they are each different. All classes are taught in Persian, unless specified.

 

Registration: There are limited spots in all classes. If no spots were available, you may register to the waitlist of that class. Please register here no later than Oct 13.

 

A variety of discounts are available for members, CCC contributors, students, and families, which have been explained below. Note that per request of instructors, 30-100% of tuition fees are donated to the IHCCO to further develop its cultural programs.

 

🔸 Persian Calligraphy (Ghalam or Pen): 7+ yo | Wednesdays 5:30pm-6:30pm | starting Oct 23 | 8 sessions | Online and in-person | $120

🔸 Fluent Quranic Reading and Reflection: 12-18 yo | Saturdays 10am-11am | starting Oct 19 | 4 sessions | Online and in-person | $30

🔸 Secrets of Quran: 6-10 yo | Wednesdays 6:30pm-7:30pm | starting Oct 23 | 8 sessions | In-person | $60

🔸 Quranic Edutainment of Ottawa: 4-6 yo | Wednesdays 6:30pm-7:30pm | starting Oct 23 | 8 sessions | In-person | $60

🔸 Standard First Aid/CPR-C+AED: 18+ | TBA | 8 to 10 hours in-person & online course | Nov 2024 | 1 session | In-person at CCC & online | In English | $170 (Discounts are not applicable)

 

Discounts:

  • 20% OFF – CCC Contributors: Families who contribute at least $100 per month to the rental of CCC. Use the discount code of “contributor” on the checkout page.
  • 20% OFF – IHCCO Members: Use the discount code of FLYYYMMDD – formed by your initials in uppercase, followed by your date of birth – on the checkout page.
  • 10% OFF – Post-Secondary Students: Use the discount code of “student” on the checkout page. Student cards will be requested.
  • 10% OFF – Family Bundles: Families who more than two members of them register to these courses. Registration of all family members should be done at the same time.

 

Discounts cannot be combined. Also, if the used discounts are verified and the registrant is found ineligible, their registration will be revoked, and they will be refunded.
